Spell through the Dusk

Reminiscing on the past, the curse upon my mind is fading
When has everything become so trivial and irritating?
Spellbooks stacked unto each other, in the shelves, collecting dust
The previous “I” would shatter worlds for seeing me walking past
All the proof that I had missed for calling forth the incantation
bringing down resemblence of the thing that we call happiness
Who could ever wish to cast a spell that may detain the darkness
when they had been dwelling within through blinding ignorance?
Perhaps we have done this a million times and oh so many more, still
would you now listen to me say it louder as you have done before?
Within endless emptiness, there will be a spark
waiting, lonely but patient as you are
Though ready, sometimes our wishes seem so very far apart
Let’s start by gathering the evidence of moments we spent
changing, rising and falling to the end
Preparing paper ink and feather will retell the story
of what we found when
Shattering the thoughts that threat to deaden our hearts
aching, suffering, aiming, open up
the pages, every letter read placing a light in which we trust
to clear the skies of coming tragedies and long faded stars
gone by, though what we learned from them is ours
A message to you, a message to myself
Today I’m giving life another chance
